General Information

The children will start off each week in church with you at the 9 a.m. Service. They will have a special message from the Pastor. During the Hymn of the day they will be escorted downstairs by the Sunday School teachers. We will celebrate with an opening and then the children will go to their classrooms. Each week they will learn a different bible lesson. They will also enjoy singing, crafts and games. If you have any questions or requests, please do not hesitate talking to your child’s teacher. We are here for your children and want them to enjoy coming to Sunday School every week.

Food Sunday-The first Sunday of every month is Food Sunday. If possible please send in a non-perishable food item with your child. These donations help to fill the Food Pantry at St. John’s. This is just a little something that we can do to help our families in need.

Memory Work- As always your child will be working on memorizing different church prayers. They will be earning points for attending Sunday School and for completing their memory work. This year the children will be earning stars that they can turn in once a month for a small prize.

Health Kits-Every week in the month of October we will be collecting different items to help fill the holiday baskets for underprivileged families in our community. You child will come home with a list of items that are needed.

Children’s Christmas Program-We will be having our Christmas program on December 11, 2016 after the 9:00 Service. If your child would like a speaking part please talk with their teacher.

Friendship Sunday- We will be celebrating Friendship Sunday on January 29th. Please bring a friend to Sunday School to celebrate our love for each other and Jesus.

Nursery through 2nd Grade- Parents must pick up their child in their classroom.
3rd through 6th Grade- Parents must meet their children in the gym.
